Having played the C-330 previously, in the Choir Room of his Church, organist Walt was delighted to have the opportunity to have one in his home. Thanks to Rodgers’ “Spring into Action” promotion and a generous trade-in from Buch Organ Company for his older Rodgers 610, the Roland C-330 dream would now become reality…
Walt chose the C-330 in Dark Oak (with tracker-touch), and as you may see from the photos, it is handsome “little” organ, taking up very little floor space. The organ’s internal audio system is supplemented by its own satellite speakers and an external powered sub-woofer which brings the deep pedal tones to a room-shaking vitality.
The organ is by no means little in sound, though. The Roland C-330 features over 200 stops, 104 of which can be used to create your own custom stops. These are created by specifying the pitch level (from 5 octaves), tuning (coarse and fine), volume level (127 levels), timbre (warmth -21 levels, presence – 21 levels and brilliance -21 levels) for each stop you wish to create. Your new stops can be saved in a combination piston for instant recall. You can also re-voice the same stop and save on a different preset – you can even play them together, creating your own “celestes” if you wish!
With USB memory and 20 on-board memories, there is no limit to the stops and combinations one can create. Among its other features are Next and Previous thumb pistons and two programmable “kick-switches” on the expression shoe, which can be set one for “previous” and the other “next.” External volume adjustment is provided for Main and Satellites speakers, fully programmable Room Modeling, MIDI capability and much more in the User Menu system. The organ also carries a 5-year warranty from Roland/Rodgers and 2-year service warranty from Buch Organ Company.
